The suggester says, "He told me not to even breathe by ~joganelken is just so disquieting and creepy, the model seems to have witnessed such horror than she has gone into shock and is simply calm now". ( Suggested by piratephotography and Featured by RockstarVanity )

"What do you see here ?"

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I see a victim.

A girl - mortally wounded, both in spirit and body.

Struck down.

Helpless and immeasurably vulnerable.

Unable to run, unable to move, except for a final gesture.
Her mind is beyond fright, beyond horror, it has passed through it all.

A childlike plea, a childlike resolution:

To hide in pain sight, still convinced it will be alright, despite it being all over by now.

The mind refuses to believe what the body has already accepted;

The only thought, the only drive remaining on the surface:

Hush now . . . quiet as a mouse. . .

. . .

Life is draining fast; she is more beyond than she is still here.

Her gaze doesn't pierce, yet it stabs deep.

I cannot see fright or horror, no panic, neither plea nor sadness.

She has been through it all.

Maybe she ran,

maybe she had to crawl,

maybe she was left where she fell.

It doesn't matter anymore

The world has shrunk; is now confined by her own skin

and what little is left

is growing smaller by the second.

Time is ticking away,

the body becomes an appendage, limp and useless.

Only the mind still clings on, writhing, trying to focus, dominated by a single idea.

A sole thing that must be done:

A last gesture, to whomever is watching.

Before it's too late.

Her legacy to the viewer, given with a dying breath:

". . . . . . . . .

. . . shhhh . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . ."

(A sentence that remains unfinished, but the unspoken words hanging in the air, clear as crystal)

". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

. . . he might hear us."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This one hit very close  OMG  - couldn't stop thinking about it for the last few days....

Technically it is done very well, especially the lighting contributes a lot to the mood - it's horrible, calm, eerie, sad, content, creepy . . . everything at once !
There's a lot of room for interpretation; for all the  whys and hows - it sends the mind racing through a myriad of theories; all of them intriguing and none positive:

What has happened ?
Are we there with her ?
Are we hiding as well and just found her ?
What are we running from ?
Does she look through the plane of the picture to warn us, the viewers ?
If that's the case, what does she know ?

What is out to get us ?!! :panic:

Horrible ideas aside for a moment - this is a great piece of artwork: The first glance is a shock and sends the mind flying. Then, you begin to take in all the details and try to come up with answers.
I love art that kickstarts your thinking and this certainly delivers in that regard. The title itself contributes a lot to the ideas that come up; since it mentions a "he", it adds another dimension to the picture, something that
is out of the frame, maybe even in past. It also implies that somebody else did this to her, giving us a victim and a victimizer.

Like I said, you get a lot to think about within the blink of an eye - that's what artwork's about.

afraid to open up out of fear of being rejected.
are eating me alive.
